Hello everyone..

just stopping in to update - we have a show coming up: Holy Soviets' New Years Eve Pajama Johnny Jam! it's a slumber party! and we go on at 1am - what a wonderful way to start 2010.. doing what we love for the people we love :)

in other news we have a few new songs brewing that we're pretty excited about - one of which featuring an instrument we haven't performed with yet!

we're looking to play at a few open mics this winter.. if you know of some places/dates let us know!

Welcome to my World

so over the past weekend due to my parents being away in Florida with my little brother and sister I had the house to myself in which case a threw a little last minute Acoustic House Show featuring some of my good friends that I have made via giging and attending local shows around the island. The show went off without a hitch everyone had a great time and everyone that played put on incredibly soild performances

It was so much fun we ordered a few pizzas people brought some wine and beer and we all just relaxed and listened to some great original tunes by all of our friends, you really couldn't have asked for a better time. I really hope we can do something like this again soon :)

we really want to thank everyone for being so awesome and obviously we couldn't of had this show without all of you (otherwise we would just be playing for no one in my basement...which we do anyway ha) for everyone that played (you were all sooo good!) and for the audience for being respectful of the artists and giving them your attention and making this all worth it.

We Love Mr. Beery's!

over the past year or so I've gone on and off to a place called Mr. Beery's in Bethpage NY. Usually on thursday nights because of the open mic they have there (this is also my only steady day off from work) everyone is just so welcoming and supportive. I have played in almost every style and played with sevreal bands/acts and it doesn't matter if there is 5 people in there or 50 everyone claps and most people listen it's a really nice feeling. Honestly the only place we like MORE is the Holy Soviets House Shows because if you wanna talk about respect and listening they have got it down to a science so here is the second shout out of the blog :)

Anyway last night was the first time we performed as A Tuff Rose and the response was amazing! I was so touched and excited by the fact that halfway through our first song about 90% of the place stopped what they were doing to turn around or come closer to hear our songs. We sold a few cd's and even made some new friends. All and all a great fucking night.

A special thanks to Mike Longo (from My Summer) whom does sound at Mr. Beery's and is always such a nice guy. Thank again Mike for recording us last night.

SO as "A Tuff Rose" we decided that we needed to create SOMETHING that we could have on the interwebs to help get our music and our voices out there to send a digital message to our fellow humans that can't get enough of this delicious medium

over the past few months the 2 memebers of this band have writen recorded and performed a handful of pretty acoustic/alt folk songs for our friends and family...we would LOVE to extend this family to you and your friends...

With this fun little blog site we will give you updates via Videos/Photos and other cute little things for you to sink your teeth into and ask for more

at anytime you would like to contact us our e-mail is fresh and willing to recieve your comments and questions (and possibly booking?)

we would be thrilled to get a copy of our EP into your hands so the best way for that to happen is for you to come out to a gig of ours and get it but hey we understand that can't always be the case...SO maybe we cannnn meet up with you somewhere oorrrrr maybe if you are far away you can give us your address and we can mail you a copy...I feel like the possiblites are endless...

our love is too large to be couped up in this little circle of friends/fans we need more people to share this with so jump on board and enjoy the beauty of song with us!
